Attention 8th Grade Students & Parents: Friday, June 1st is the Great America Trip. The weather forecast looks cold, rainy, and windy. Highs temperatures are forecast at 55 degrees. Please dress for the wet, cooler weather. This would include dressing in layers, with a jacket or heavy sweatshirt and jeans instead of shorts. Please wear tennis shoes and socks, and no flip flops. You can bring snacks and drinks with a cover to eat on the bus. We will not be stopping for supper on the way home, so please make sure you have enough to along to eat. Bring any spending money you might need. Arrive for the bus at 7:30 a.m.
Attention students entering grades 6, 7, 8, and 9. There is a Cross Country meeting today – May 30th in the Middle School gym at 2:45 p.m. for all interested in running and learning more about cross country -Tiffany Otte – Cross country coach (467-0830).
Track and Field Athletes – this summer your high school coaches are offering opportunities to participate in your favorite events and learn more advanced skills, “Throwing Thursdays” on June 14th, 28th and July 12th from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and all events the week of July 16th through the 19th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the High School. ACTION ROOM NEWS!!! MATH-A-THON RESULTS! The final numbers are in! This year we had 47 SFMS students raise a total of $2815!!! THANK YOU for making a difference in helping to find a cure for childhood cancer!! Mrs. Miles class had the most contributors to the cause!! Our top three pledge earners were Grafton Morgan, Sarah Cromwell and Brooklyn Mortimer~ thank you!! All students who earned prizes for pledges over $35 should stop into the ACTION Room on Friday during the guided study period to pick up them up. EXTRA YEARBOOKS are available to purchase for $21.00!!! Pick up an order form from the ACTION Room bulletin board, or the office, and return it along with your check payable to SHEBOYGAN FALLS MS, ASAP!!!
Attention girls entering 9th grade this fall who enjoy swimming: There will be an informational High School Girls Swimming meeting taking place at Kohler High School Youth Center (near the pool) on Monday, June 4th at 6:00 p.m. No need to have previous competitive swimming experience to be a part of the team. Come meet the girls from Kohler, Sheboygan Falls, Lutheran, Christian, and Elkhart Lake who are part of Team SPLASH! Coach Ellifson will get you information regarding swimmer swimming programs, summer athletic training clubs, and practice/meet information for the 2012-2013 swimming season. Team SPLASH is a Co-Op swim program which trains in Kohler. Season will run from August 7th until Mid-November with swim meets taking place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a few Saturdays. Student Council will be selling candy bars and ice cream Friday, June 1st during lunch hour. Cost is $.75 for the candy and ice cream treats.
Book Swap – Mr. McNaulty Memorial Traveling “little” Library – Looking for a new book to read over the summer? Wondering what to do with your old Book Fair purchases? Bring a gently used book and select a new book from our Mr. McNaulty Memorial Traveling “little” Library. In honor of Mr. McNaulty’s passion for reading, his family has donated books to start off a “little” traveling library. Mrs. Jarentowski will be traveling throughout the middle school with a book cart during guided study all next week. Read a good book lately? Pass it on…
ATTN Summer School Gym Participants: the letter that you received had a start date of June 13th. The correct start date is June 11th. If there is a problem, please call the High School Guidance Office.
All 8th grade boys who are interested in playing soccer in High School next year need to attend an informational meeting with the Varsity coach, Kristofer Rusch, on Thursday May 31st at 2.45 in the Middle School gym lobby. If you cannot attend please have someone else get information to pass along to you. Thank you Coach Rusch
School Toolbox Kit Pick-up: Anyone who ordered School Tool Box Kits for next year should pick them up on Thursday, May 31st from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. or on Friday, June 1st from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. in the Middle School Conference Room (just outside the MS Office). Annual Prevea Titletown 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – Saturday, June 2nd. Participants can register online at www.downtowngreenbay.com/prevea3on3
Lady Falcons Basketball Camp 2012 Friday and Saturday, June 8th and 9th at Sheboygan Falls High School. Fees are $30 per player 2nd – 5th grade and $35 per player 6th – 9th grade. Sheboygan County Futures Team Tennis – program for girls and boys 11-12 years of age. League will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 11 – July 25th at Sheboygan South High School. The Sheboygan Falls Rec Department will be offering a Summer Wrestling program for interested wrestlers in Kindergarten-8th Grade. The program will held on Mondays and Wednesdays, June 18th-July 25th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the High School Wrestling room. It will be organized and led by Coach Brad Knecht and members of the Falls High School Wrestling Team. Registration forms can be found on the Sheboygan Falls Rec Department website, and also at the Elementary, Middle School, and Aquatic Center.
Wombat Girls’ Volleyball Camp – Monday – Friday June 11-15 – at UW Sheboygan for Girls entering Grades 7-10. Cost is $70. For more information contact Penney at 459-6643.

Basketball News!! Sheboygan Falls boys’ basketball camp for boys entering 4th grade through 8th grade is July 9th through July 12th. Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, playing defense, and running an offense from the Sheboygan Falls’ basketball coaching staff and players. Camp also includes a free-throw, one-on-one, hot shot, and defensive contest and awards. Camp forms are located in the office or you can pick one up from Mr. Frohling at the middle school.
