Sheboygan Falls Middle School Student Announcements Monday April 8th , 2013 “A” Day
Dear Friends of SFMS, Friends of SFMS is looking for some fresh new faces! As this school year comes to an end we are in need of a fresh start to next year. All four board positions are open and need nominees! Please consider filling one of these much needed positions! Ask your friends, neighbors and family if they’d be interested! Our next meeting is April 22. We’d like to see as many people as possible at that meeting in order to put together a ballot. The election will be held at our last meeting on June 3. The SF Middle School has an excellent teaching staff and they need Friends of SFMS to support them in their efforts! Thank you for considering these very important positions! Please contact me or Ms. Markofski with any questions. Carla Behling email@example.com

Spring!!!! A time for flowers, sunshine and warmer weather, but also still a time for wearing our jackets on the playground. Jackets on the playground also seems to mean jackets in the cafeteria. That’s a big NO!! NO!!! Many students are carelessly leaving their jackets and other items in the cafeteria. It is your responsibility to put them in your locker and take them home each night. With the new quarter, comes new consequences. Singing and sit ups won’t make the grade from here on out. Take your items with you, or face the dire new consequences when collecting your items in room 208.

Make it a healthy week tip from your school nurse.
When you learn something new, the best way to remember it is to sleep on it. That’s because sleeping helps strengthen memories you’ve formed throughout the day. It also helps to link new memories to earlier ones. You might even come up with creative new ideas while you slumber. If you haven’t slept, your ability to learn new things could drop by up to 40%. You can’t pull an all-nighter and still learn effectively. Realize that the sleep you get the night after you study is at least as important as the sleep you get the night before you study. When it comes to sleep and memory, you get very little benefit from cutting corners. (National Institute of Health)
