If you are going to use a professional photographer, please schedule your appointment early. Photographers tell us that it takes about 6-8 weeks to get your pictures back after you select them from proofs. You will want to be sure you have enough time to meet the deadline.
>> 2011 deadline: Friday, October 7 <<
Submission options:
Option 1:
We prefer a high quality digital image. These look best in the yearbook.
- Image specifications. JPEG image 300 pixels per inch (2 inches by 3 inches)
- Submit: on CD or emailed as an attachment to aldegenhardt@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us
Option 2:
If you cannot get a digital image from your photographer, send a regular wallet.
Option 3:
Seniors can have the school photographer take their picture when the rest of the students have theirs taken (first week of school). There is no charge if they don’t order any prints. Please have your son or daughter let us know if you choose this option.
Option 4:
If you are taking your own digital image, follow specifications above. Submit a high quality digital image, not a printed image.
All photos are to follow these guidelines:
- head and shoulders only; avoid extreme close-ups
- no hats; no photos with cars, pets, memorabilia, etc.
- vertical orientation only
- no borders; no names or graduation year on photo
- color only (the senior section is our only color section in the yearbook)
Please advise your photographer of our specifications and deadlines. There are too many different photographers for us to be able to contact them all. We need you to do this.

Senior advertisements
September 29, 2010 | advertisements | Comments Off
Dear Parents of SFHS seniors,
The time is rapidly approaching when your baby will graduate from high school. For many parents this is a time of anxiety and loss as well as elation for their child’s accomplishments. In many ways, the senior year is one long journey toward the graduation goal full of planning, anticipation, and excitement.
I would like to invite you to celebrate your senior’s last year of high school by placing an ad in the yearbook. These personal ads from parents are given in confidentiality. As adviser, I am the only one who sees them before the yearbooks come out, which makes your ad a great surprise for your son or daughter. From experience, we know that these ads really mean a lot to our seniors, especially those with baby or childhood pictures in them.
Please consult the page with design options and ad sizes linked below. Please select a style that works best for you. Then, it is a matter of thinking of something meaningful to say and digging through those old photo albums to find the perfect pictures for your ad.
Please do not send pictures that have been cut. We can enlarge or reduce pictures without cutting. Also, be sure the pictures you send are of good quality. If the picture is fuzzy or dark, it will look fuzzy or dark in the yearbook also. Please send your sharpest color images. Ads for 2011 will be in color. Also, be sure the picture you send is of the same proportion as the pictures shown in the sample. For example, vertical pictures for vertical spaces, etc. Please DO NOT send pictures that are printed on home printers as these do not scan well. If you have digital images, you can send them on a disk or email them.
Fill out the order form completely and be sure to send everything to my attention by the deadline. It is wise to act early as ad space is limited. You can mail your order in or drop it off at the high school office. Thanks for the opportunity to help you say congratulations, good luck and more to your graduating senior.
Also, due to the demand for senior ads, we can only offer one ad per student. Thanks for understanding. Order forms are due no later than December 10, 2010.
