On Tuesday, November 5th, our community will consider two capital referendum questions for the School District of Sheboygan Falls. The first question asks voters to approve general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $78.3 million. These funds would go toward Elementary and High School improvement projects, including: ➡️Addition of a 4-year-old kindergarten and childcare at the Elementary School, expanding our wraparound care for 4K students ➡️Addition for Career & Technical Education at the High School ➡️Addition of a Community Fitness Center ➡️Replacement of basic building systems ➡️Safety & security upgrades ➡️Upgrades to educational spaces ➡️Improvements to building finishes ➡️Furniture, fixtures & equipment The second question asks voters to approve general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $21.5 million. These funds would go toward recreation and athletic improvement projects, including: ➡️New auxiliary gymnasium ➡️Construction of a new multi-sport turf field (football, soccer, other) & competitive track/field events ➡️Site improvements to address grading & draining issues Learn more and find answers to FAQs here: www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us/o/sfsd/page/referendum

We aim to be as transparent as possible about how the approval of the capital referendum questions on the ballot November 5th will impact property taxes in our community. If both questions are approved, the tax impact will be $2.23 per every $1,000 of equalized property value in our community. A home valued at $200,000 would see a property tax impact of $446 per year (or $37.17 per month), starting in the 2024-25 school year. Mark your calendars - you're invited! Sheboygan Falls High School will once again be hosting a Veterans Day program. Join us on Monday, November 11th, beginning at 9:25 AM to honor and celebrate the service of veterans and their families. The program will feature student speakers who will share readings on the sacrifices made by our veterans. In addition, the school's talented music students will perform several patriotic selections. A guest speaker will also be present to address the audience, offering inspiring words of gratitude and remembrance. Following the program, the community is invited to participate in a 21-gun salute outside of the building near the flag. This solemn tribute will serve as a fitting conclusion to the Veterans Day observance. Community members can enter the building through the front doors on the south west corner of the high school beginning at 9:10 AM.
