If both questions on the ballot November 5 are approved, the tax impact will be $2.23 per every $1,000 of equalized property value in our community. A home valued at $200,000 would see a property tax impact of $446 per year (or $37.17 per month), starting in the 2024-25 school year. Deaf Awareness Week is celebrated annually during the last full week of September. The official name is International Week of the Deaf (IWDeaf), but it is often referred to as Deaf Awareness Week. The week is celebrated by individuals, local communities, and national and regional associations of the deaf around the world. It highlights key issues and achievements within the deaf community, and serves as a platform to advocate for the rights of deaf people. This year the SFHS participated by learning and sharing some ASL signs.
