
Mrs. Mullins grade 8 mathematicians took their learning of Pythagorean Theorem to vertical spaces today! The math department has made a commitment to use these vertical learning spaces to increase student engagement and making student thinking visible. Great work mathematicians!!!





Sixth grade STEM students are wrapping up their Lego Robotics unit by creating a Formula One car that they are programming to do certain tasks.




Fifth grade STEM students are planting the seedlings they started inside as a part of their agriculture unit. The plants will grow this summer, with the hope that their produce will be used in the lunch program this fall.


Students in Mrs. Ellis class engaged in showing their thinking on vertical spaces. This shift out of our desks is the math departments recent commitment to increase student engagement during our mathematical lessons. Great work 6th grade students!

Academic PLC's (Professional Learning Communities) met today to analyze and discuss the most recent ACCESS data from our English Language Learners. These scores are used to inform classroom instruction, assess student growth, and make decisions about reclassification or exit of EL (English Language) programs. The middle school showed great growth within the data.

This past week 8th Grade Baking Adventures spent some time learning proper measuring techniques and put their skills to the test with some banana chocolate chip muffins.






Fifth grade STEM students are creating prototypes of prosthetics for "clients." They did research on how they work and applied what they learned as they brought their idea to life.
